Hole in One slots game has a golf theme with cartoon images that are all golf-inspired. Rival Gaming always does a great job on animations and graphics and there is a short animated clip at the beginning of the game. The sounds are smooth and go well with the theme.

The storyline of the Hole in One slots game follows you around the holes of the golf course. The holes are actually the bonus games and there are nine of them in total. The only thing this i-Slots lacks that most other games in the line have is video clips between each round. For some reason, Rival didn’t add anything to separate the rounds. After playing other i-Slots, I kind of miss that. However, any fan of golf (real or video) will get a kick out of the bonus games.

Hole in One Wild Symbol

Hole in One has a wild symbol which is represented by the Eagle symbol. When the Eagle symbol appears, it expands in size until it fills up the reel. The Eagle symbol only appears on reels 2, 3, and 4 and acts as a substitute for all other symbols except the scatter symbol. When the Eagle appears on the reels, it makes all the other positions on the reel wild, too.

The scatter symbol for Hole in One is the Bonus Birdie symbol. If you hit three or more of these symbols, it triggers the next bonus round and hole of golf. The winnings from hitting the Bonus Birdie are multiplied by the number of coins wagered.

The bonus rounds do require a bit of skill because, just like in real golf, you win more by getting the ball in the hole with the least number of putts. Also, how far away the mouse pointer is from the golfer signifies how hard the golfer will hit the ball. On the left side of the screen is a score card that only appears during the bonus games. I am not a big fan of golf but I found Hole in One to be a very entertaining game. The animation clip at the beginning was cool and there are some decent-sized payouts but the real reason to play the game is for the bonus rounds. It was equally frustrating and fun to try to line up the Golfer in just the right spot to hit the ball. But for once, it was a nice change actually having some control over your chances of winning instead of being at the mercy of a Random Number Generator. Even if you don’t like golf, you’re going to like Hole in One.
