The call attendant is a casino employee who works the slot machines section of the casino floor. This person is typically in charge of player questions, concerns and complaints. Traditionally, the call attendant is available to pay the player money on jackpot wins.

In the new casino environment, slot machine winnings are often printed out on slots tickets which are payed off at the cashier cage. In this case, call attendants have a reduced function for slot machine jackpot winners. If a player wins a jackpot and the ticket doesn't print, though, then the player can appeal to the call attendant for assistance. In this case, it's wise to print the ticket as soon as the jackpot is hit, before the player takes another spin.

Otherwise, the call attendant is in charge of overseeing slot machines. If a machine appears to be broken, the call attendant will call for a technician to work on the machine. This is the casino employee that slot machine gamblers are most likely to interact with.
