A doubler might also be referred to as a double machine. While they are called double machines, some doublers might have higher multipliers, such as triple multiplier action.

The doubler symbol is generically called a multiplier. The symbol will have the 2x icon on it. If the symbol multiplies anytime it hits on the visible screen, this is called a scatter symbol, because the doubler will double the prize wherever the symbol is scattered about the screen.

Players tend to love the doubler machines, because their prize money can be doubled or tripled if the lucky combination hits. In fact, if two multipliers hit at once, the doubler slot machine might offer up (low) exponential multipliers. For instance, if you hit two 3x symbols, you'll win 9x the amount of your original prize.

Doubler machines, of course, have the same general payout percentage as other slot machines in the casino. This means you'll be seeing fewer winning spins, but the winning spins might be a bit larger when you do see them.
