Pay for Play MachinesPay for Play Machines, also known as full coin slots, this type of slot machine can sometimes be confusing. Return to the slot machine terms main page. There are two types of pay-for-play machines. With the first type of machine, a player simply inserts a coin, and they are eligible for wins associated with that coin only. This means that a player can only win on one payline. If the player inserts a second coin, they are eligible for both any wins on both the first and second payline. A third coin allows a player to win on any of the lines. The second type of pay-for-play slot machine allows a bigger payout on a win for each additional coin inserted. So if a player plays with two coins and wins, the payout is twice that of what it would be with one coin. If the player inserted three coins and won, then the payout is three times the amount of just one coin. It is not uncommon to see a confused player with a wining combination on the reels but nothing in the hopper because they only played one coin. |
