Second ScreenA feature on video slot machines which appear when a bonus game is activated. Return to the slot machine terms main page. The second screen takes the player away from the conventional reel screen for a short time. The second screen is only found on video slots, and is one of the main differences between the Classic 3-reel slots game and video slots. Video slot machines have bonus games, where players play for bonus coins without risking their money. These bonus games have a different format than the classic reel game for slots, and often involve the playing making 50-50 decisions or selections (with requisite money won for correct choices) until the end of the bonus game. When the bonus game is over, players leave the second screen and return to the first screen. The second screen often has flashy graphics and a different theme song from the reel screen. The theme of the game tends to feature heavily on the bonus screen or second screen. Players will spend a small percentage of their slot session playing on the second screen. Most of your time will be spent playing money on the traditional slots reel screen. |
